mc-dbg software package provides Midnight Commander - a powerful file manager - debug package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mc-dbg
mc-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mc-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mc-dbg *
You will get with mc-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
